Career Summary
Chuck brings to bear 25+ years of unique commercial real estate experience in law and brokerage. He is a former associate at the law firm McGuireWoods, LLP. In 1991, he joined Reynolds Metals Company's law department as a corporate real estate attorney providing legal advice for the company's real estate development activities and corporate real estate transactions. Reynolds promoted him to Director of its Real Estate Department in 1996. In that position, he oversaw all corporate real estate matters including acquisitions and dispositions of property and leasing transactions involving office and industrial properties nationally and internationally. After the merger of Alcoa and Reynolds, Chuck worked for GMH Capital Partners providing corporate real estate services to GE Capital Assurance (now Genworth Financial).
From 2002 to 2012, Chuck was with Grubb & Ellis|Harrison & Bates as a member of the Corporate Services Group and Office Brokerage Team. While there, he was promoted to Senior Vice President and represented such clients as IBM, BB&T, Riverstone Properties, LLC, Media General, KLMK Group, BCWH Architects, BGK Equities, Diamond Healthcare, Virginia Academy of Family Physicians, Apple Suite Hospitality REIT, the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, and the Virginia Bankers Association.
